The 24th APEC Conference opened in Xiamen on October 20, 2023. This conference was hosted by the East Asia and Western Pacific Electricity Industry Association and the China Electricity Council. Focusing on the theme of "Green Low-carbon, Electric Brighter Future", it focused on the development trend of energy and power in the Asia-Pacific region and even the world. The three-day conference was rich and exciting. Our company also actively participated in this exhibition.
Vice President Han Zheng attended and delivered a speech. Han Zheng said that in the face of the new changes in the energy supply and demand pattern and the new trend of international energy development, President Xi Jinping proposed a new energy security strategy of "four revolutions and one cooperation". The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China established the goal of basically realizing a beautiful China by 2035, and made a comprehensive deployment to promote green development. We are accelerating the coordinated development of economy, society and ecological environment, and providing China's plan for the world's energy and power transformation.
Han Zheng pointed out that the green and low-carbon transformation of energy has become the consensus of all countries in the world and is an irreversible trend of the times. China will uphold the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind and work with Asia-Pacific countries to build a new pattern of open and win-win international cooperation in energy and power.
Han Zheng put forward three proposals. The first is to strengthen interconnection and cooperation to promote energy transformation. It is necessary to strengthen energy and power exchanges and cooperation, jointly build energy and power infrastructure, and promote the large-scale development and utilization of clean energy on a regional scale. The second is to promote green and low-carbon and address climate change. It is necessary to firmly safeguard the international system with the United Nations at its core, fully and effectively implement the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and its Paris Agreement, and promote the establishment of a fair, reasonable, and win-win climate governance system. The third is to deepen practical cooperation and promote scientific and technological innovation. We must cooperate in the research and development and application of new energy and key technologies with a more open mind and measures, and jointly explore new technologies, new business formats, and new models, so as to inject strong impetus into the innovation of power science and
